Bose aktualisiert seine SoundTouch-Speaker mit Unterstützung für Apples AirPlay 2 Protokoll

Schon im vergangenen Jahr hatte der beliebte Lautsprecher-Hersteller Bose angekündigt, seine Speaker per Software-Update mit Apples AirPlay 2 Protokoll kompatibel machen zu wollen. Heute nun wurde mit der Umsetzung dieses Vorhabens begonnen. So können Nutzer der unten zu sehenden Lautsprecher-Modelle inzwischen das Firmware-Update auf Version 24.0.7 laden und installieren. Sollte das Update bei euch nicht unmittelbar auftauchen, hilft einfach nur Geduld. Bose hat angekündigt, dass bis spätestens zum 25 Februar alle Nutzer mit der AirPlay 2 Aktualisierung versorgt sein sollen. In den Releasenotes schreibt man:

Du wirst Deine Lautsprecher in Deinem iOS-Kontrollzentrum steuern können. Bitte einfach die "Audiokarte" in der oberen rechten Ecke berühren und halten, danach tippst Du auf das AirPlay 2-Symbol. Du kannst den Vorgang auch direkt von einigen Deiner bevorzugten Streaming-Dienste aus starten.

Als weitere Voreteile bringt die Unterstützung von AirPlay 2 auch noch die Tatsache mit, dass man hierüber Multiroom-Szenarien erstellen und diese auch herstellerübergreifend aufbauen kann. Einzige Voraussetzung hierfür ist, dass alle verwendeten Geräte mit AirPlay 2 kompatibel sind. Für Bose gilt dies nach dem Update für die folgenden Modelle:
