Neuer 27" Apple Silicon iMac soll im ersten Quartal 2022 erscheinen

Im Frühjahr dieses Jahres brachte Apple einen komplett neugestalteten 24" iMac mit Apple Silicon Prozessor auf den Markt, verzichtete dabei aber auf die gleichzeitige Vorstellung eines Nachfolgers des nach wie vor mit einem Intel-Chip bestückten 27"-Modells. Auch das zurückliegende "Unleashed"-Event verging, ohne das Apple einen neuen großen iMac präsentierte. Nun berichtet der bekannte Display Supply Chain Consultants CEO Ross Young, dass es wohl im ersten Quartal, also vermutlich ziemlich genau ein Jahr nach der Einführung des 24"-Modells soweit sein soll.

Während der aktuelle 24" M1 iMac über ein 4,5K Retina Display verfügt, soll Apple beim neuen 27" laut Young auf mini-LED setzen und auch seine ProMotion-Technologie für variable Bildwiederholfrequenzen zum Einsatz bringen. Hierdurch wird es wohl unter Apples XDR-Branding laufen. Keine Informationen liefert Young hingegen zur Auflösung des neuen Modells. Das ebenfalls auf der mini-LED Technologie basierende32" große externe Pro Display XDR verfügt über eine 6K-Auflösung, der aktuelle 27" iMac über eine 5K-Auflösung.

Ansonsten ist nur die Fläche groß, aber zufrieden gibst du dich mit 110 dpi oder weniger. Und das ist die Auflösung des iMac ohne Retina-Display.

Also ich kann nicht nachvollziehen, wie sich die Mehrheit mit riesiger Fläche, aber kleinster Auflösung abspeisen lässt.

Ok, ich kann auch nicht verstehen, wie man sich ein Stuttgarter SUV kaufen kann, welches den Kofferraum eines VW Golf hat.
