Jetzt fix: Weitere zehn Jahre keine Roaminggebühren in der EU

An manche Dinge gewöhnt man sich einfach unfassbar schnell. Oder erinnert sich noch jemand daran, was für horrende Roaminggebühren man noch vor wenigen Jahren zahlen musste, wenn man sein Smartphone im europäischen Ausland zum Telefonieren oder gar für das Surfen im Internet verwendet hat? Heute ist das in der Tat schwer vorstellbar, auch wenn die entsprechende EU-Verfügung zum Wegfall der Roaminggebühren innerhalb der EU, in Liechtenstein, Island und Norwegen erst seit dem 15. Juni 2017 in Kraft ist. Ursprünglich gelt sie für fünf Jahre, bereits im vergangenen Dezember hatten die EU-Länder jedoch eine Verlängerung um weitere zehn Jahre auf den Weg gebracht. Diese ist heute nun auch offiziell verabschiedet worden, gilt ab dem 01. Juli und sichert uns weitere zehn Jahre Befreiung von Roaminggebühren in der EU. (via ntv)

Kaum zu glauben, aber die EU besteht aus mehreren Abteilungen und Organisationen. Das heisst, verschiedene Themen können parallel bearbeitet werden.

Manchmal dauert es halt. So ist das eben in einer Demokratie, bei der verschiedene Interessen zusammenspielen und man sich einigen muss.
