"The White Darkness": Apple kündigt neue Serie über Antarktis-Expedition an

Wer Fan der Marvel-Filme der vergangenen Jahre ist, wird den Schauspieler Tom Hiddleston in seiner Rolle als "Loki" kennen. Eben jener Tom Hiddelston wird nun auch der Hauptdarseller in einer neuen Serie auf Apple TV+, die das Unternehmen nun selbst ankündigte. Diese wird den Titel "The White Darkness" haben und auf dem gleichnamigen Roman von David Grann basieren. Inhalltich geht es um die Antarktis-Expedition des britischen Abenteurers und Offiziers Henry Worsley im Jahr 2008. Worsley leitete die Expedition, deren Ziel es war, eine neue Route durch das Transantarktische Gebirge zu finden. Er kehrte hierzu auch noch einmal in den Jahren 2011 und 2015 in die Antarktis zurück. Hiddleston wird dabei nicht nur als Hauptdarsteller agieren, sondern auch als ausführender Produzent. Einen Starttermin hat Apple noch nicht bekanntgegeben.
