Nutzer haben offenbar Probleme beim Aktualisieren des Apple Studio Display

Die Reviewer konnte Apple mit seinem neuen Studio Display nicht durchgehend überzeugen. Vor allem das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis kam dabei nicht gut weg und auch an der Qualität der FaceTime-Kamera gab es reichlich Kritik. Apple gestand einen Softwarefehler ein, den man mit einem Softwareupdate aus der Welt schaffen wollte. Dies klingt zunächst mal gut, wenn es nicht Probleme beim Aktualisieren des Monitors geben würde. So berichtet eine wachsende Zahl an Nutzern in Apples Support-Foren, dass sie ihr Studio Display nicht aktualisieren können und stattdessen eine Fehlermeldung sehen, die da lautet:

"Apple Studio Display firmware update could not be completed. Try again in an hour. If the problem persists, contact an authorized Apple service provider."

Auch in den MacRumors-Foren mehren sich inzwischen die Stimmen in diese Richtung. Offenbar kann auch der Apple Support aus der Ferne nicht helfen und fordert die betroffenen Nutzer auf, sich zur näheren Begutachtung in einen Apple Store oder zu einem Service Partner zu begeben. Ob das veröffentlichte Update die Korrektur für die FaceTime-Kamera enthalten sollte, ist bislang nicht bekannt.
