Einheitlicher Ladeanschluss für Smartphones in der EU rückt näher

Schon seit einiger Zeit ist die EU bestrebt, ein Gesetz zu erlassen, welches die Smartphone-, Tablet- und Hersteller weiterer Geräte dazu zwingt, einen einheitlichen Ladeanschluss an ihren Geräten zu verwenden, bei dem es sich mit an Sicherheit grenzender Wahrscheinlichkeit um USB-C handeln wird. Ein weiterer Schritt auf diesem Weg wurde nun gegangen. So haben sich die Mitglieder des Ausschusses für Binnenmarkt und Verbraucherschutz auf einen Gesetz-Vorschlag geeinigt, über den dann im Mai im Europäischen Parlament final abgestimmt wird. Sollten die Abgeordneten diesem Vorschlag erwartungsgemäß zustimmen, erfolgt anschließend eine Abstimmung mit den Mitgliedsstaaten, wie genau die Umsetzung des Gesetzes aussehen soll.

Die EU möchte mit der verpflichtenden Einheitlichkeit Elektroschrott vermeiden, der nach Meinung der Abgeordneten durch die verschiedenen Ladeanschlüsse entsteht. Vor allem Apple steht dabei mit seinem proprieträren Lightning-Anschluss in der Schusslinie. Neben der Einheitlichkeit bei den kabelgebundenen Anschlüssen soll bis 2026 zudem auch noch eine Interoperabilität zwischen kabellosen Ladestandards eingeführt werden. Unklar ist, ob hiervon auch Apple betroffen sein wird. Das eingesetzte MagSafe-System basiert grundsätzlich auf dem Qi-Standard, gibt diesem aber natürlich eine eigene Note.

Der Artikel ist ein kleines Update und leicht fehlerhaft aus dem Englischen übersetzt. Jedoch schon im fünften Absatz wird deutlich, dass es um den Anschluss am Endgerät geht. Oder kennt wenigstens ABehr eine Tastatur mit externem Ladegerät?
